Abstract
In consequence of its increasing importance energy efficiency has to be considered during production and logistics planning processes. Therefore, the automotive industry underlines the necessity to integrate the modelling and evaluation of energetic aspects into the digital factory approach. In this paper an integration approach for coupling discrete event material flow simulation with continuous energy simulation as well as the implemented technical solution are presented. Additionally, application fields and an use case are discussed.
